Amid the ongoing rumours of Rishabh Pant replacing Shikhar Dhawan for the remaining World Cup matches of India, the Indian opening batsman shared a video on Twitter where he was seen working out in the gym. In his tweet, Dhawan also thanked his well-wishers.

Dhawan tweeted, “You can make these situations your nightmare or use it an opportunity to bounce back. Thank you for all the recovery messages from everyone.”

Shikhar Dhawan sustained an injury on the back of his left hand in the region between the index finger and thumb during the Cricket World Cup 2019 league match against Australia.

Earlier on Tuesday, the BCCI released a statement, saying that Dhawan is currently under observation after sustaining an injury. The southpaw will stay in England and his progress will be monitored by the Indian board.

On Wednesday, the 33-year-old took to Twitter to post pictures of him being attended by the medical staff and captioned it, “Kabhi mehek ki tarah hum gulon se udte hain… Kabhi dhuyein ki tarah hum parbaton se udte hain… Ye kainchiyaan humein udne se khaak rokengi… Ke hum paron se nahin hoslon se udte hain…”
