Be it Sachin Tendulkar or cricket great Don Bradman, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has often been compared to legendary cricketers because of his form and batting style.
However, South African skipper Faf du Plessis beg to differ. Recently when du Plessis was asked whether Virat Kohli was on a par with AB de Villiers or better in the longest format of the game, he said with a wink: “Anyone who gets judged on being the best in the world, whether it is a bowler, batsman or team, I feel should get judged all around the world.”
While talking about their star batter AB de Villiers, Faf said, de Villiers is very desperate and hungry to do well. Without a doubt de Villiers is proven performer on all sort type of ground. When Africa is in a tricky condition, he is expected to bailed them out and that’s exactly what he did in Cape Town.
“His job is to score big runs and make an impact with the bat. I know he is very hungry to do well, and a hungry AB usually means a big run-scoring AB. So, hopefully over the next few months, we will get a lot of runs from him,” said du Plessis.
