India vs NZ 5th ODI: India beat New Zealand by 35 runs, seal series 4-1

Indian bowlers helped their team to seal the five-match ODI series 4-1 as they bowled out New Zealand for 217 runs off 44.1 overs at Westpac Stadium, Wellington on Sunday, thus winning the fifth and final ODI match by 35 runs.

The victorious moment came when Trent Boult was caught by Mohammed Shami at third man off the bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 1 which he scored of 3 deliveries.

Earlier, India scored a fighting 252 before being bowled out of the second last ball of their innings.

For the Kiwis, James Neesham was the top scorer with 44 before he was run out by MS Dhoni. Skipper Kane Williamson put up a fight as he scored 39 before being caught by Shikhar Dhawan off the bowling of Kedar Jadhav.

Wicket-keeper Tom Latham scored 37 before being trapped in front of the stumps by Yuzvendra Chahal while opener Colin Munro could manage 24 as he was dismissed by Mohammed Shami.

Ambati Rayudu was adjudged player of the match while Mohammed Shami was adjudged player of the series.
