Electing to bat, India were 371 for four at the end of the opening day of the third cricket Test against Sri Lanka at Feroz Shah Kotla ground, here on Saturday.
Ajinkya Rahane was the last casualty of the day for India as he was stumped by the Sri Lankan wicket keeper at 1. Murali Vijay scored a hundred (155) and Skipper Virat Kohli was batting at 156 when the play was called off for the day. Vijay and Kohli cemented the innings by completing a 200-run partnership. India lost opener Shikhar Dhawan (23), who became off- spinner Dilruwan Perera’s 100th Test victim, and Cheteshwar Pujara (23) in the morning session.
