Indian ace sprinter Hima Das on Wednesday bagged a gold medal in the 200m race at the Tabor Athletics Meet in the Czech Republic, notably, her 4th gold in just 15 days.

On 17 July, Hima clocked 23.25 seconds to bag the top honour. Her compatriot VK Vismaya won the silver medal with a season-best 23.43 seconds.

Meanwhile, in the men’s event, Muhammad Anas clinched the gold medal in 45.40 seconds in 400m race. Anas, on 13 July, had won gold in the men’s 400m race as he clocked 45.21 seconds to bag the yellow at Kladno.

Talking about 19-year-old Hima, this was her fourth gold since 2 July when she ran her first competitive race in Europe.

“Won another gold today in 200m and improved my timings to 23.25s at Tabor GP,” the sprinter from Assam tweeted after her victory.

In her first competitive 200m race of the year on 2 July, Hima had clocked 23.65 seconds to win gold at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland.

Then on 8 July, the speedster won her second 200m gold at the Kutno Athletics Meet, also in Poland. Despite a sore back, the Assam runner had clocked 23.97 seconds to win the gold while Kerala runner VK Vismaya had grabbed silver with a timing of 24.06 seconds.

On 13 July, Hima won her third 200m gold at the Kladno Athletics Meet in the Czech Republic with a time of 23.43 seconds.
