The 2018 Winter Olympics was a sellout, with fans across the globe flocking to Pyeongchang to witness the action while millions watched on their television sets but tech giant Google has reminded all of us that the action isn’t done yet with the latest iteration of the Google Doodle marking the start of the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.
In the typically vibrant doodle (which is animated), one can see various para-athletes competing in the alpine sking, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice hokey, snowboarding and wheelchair curling sports/events.
The 2018 Paralympics Winter Games officially start on March 9 and will continue till March 18.
Notably, it is the first time South Korea is hosting the Paralympics Winter Games.
Over 570 para-athletes from approximately 49 nations will be vying for silverware in 80 events across the aforementioned six sports.
Google marks important days or event with a fresh doodle and their latest attempt has been lauded all around.
