Premier League side Everton have made one of the signings of the summer by acquiring the services of Watford winger Richarlison in a deal that could potentially cost the Toffees £50 million.

The move, in the works for the past week according to several media outlets, was finalised on Tuesday, giving Marco Silva’s men serious firepower in attack.

Richarlison, who was signed by Silva at previous club Watford last season, will wear the No.30 jersey, Everton confirmed.

At 21, his best years are undoubtedly ahead of him and after a promising Premier League debut campaign, in which he found the net five times, big things are expected of the South American.

Last season, Watford made a terrific start under Silva but after an approach for their manager from Everton, the Hornets decided to sack the Portuguese tactician mid-way into the campaign.

Silva is held in high regard by his peers and the fact that he’s made one solid signing already bodes well for the Merseyside outfit.

Earlier in the summer, they allowed club icon Wayne Rooney to depart for the MLS.

Richarlison’s arrival injects some much-needed pace into their forward line and fans will be excited to see how he links up with the likes of Cenk Tosun and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

A talented winger, primarily utilised on the left by the Hornets last season, the 21-year-old South American is capable of playing anywhere across the forward line.

Silva’s men open their 2018/19 Premier League campaign with an away clash at newcomers Wolves on August 11.
