Five-time Baloon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has had yet another stellar year and continues his record-breaking form even after his switch from La Liga giants Real Madrid to Serie A champions Juventus.

Cristiano Ronaldo has shattered numerous club records set by Juventus’ greats in his just 16 appearances for the Italian Champions. Recently, CR7 became the fastest Juventus player to score 10 goals in a debut season. He also netted club’s 5000th Serie A goal.

Now, Cristiano is just one step away from setting yet another record that will leave his archrival Lionel Messi trailing. In the ongoing calendar year, Cristiano has scored 46 goals and is just four goals short to extend his streak of consecutive years with at least 50 goals to a whopping eight years.

The Portugal star started his exploits in 2011 when he scored 60 times in all the competitions. After that, Ronaldo scored 63, 69, and 61 goals in the next three years. In the year 2015, Ronaldo dropped below the mark of 60 goals and netted 57 goals. In 2016 and 2017, Ronaldo scored 55 and 53 goals, respectively.

It is also noteworthy that Juventus has only three more games left before the dawn of the New Year. Juventus will next take on AS Roma, Atalanta, and Sampdoria in their last three games of the year and Ronaldo will fancy his chances of adding four more goals to his tally.

Meanwhile, Barcelona star Lione Messi has scored a minimum of 50 goals only in five consecutive years.
