Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri on Friday, during the pre-match press conference ahead of their SPAL match, backed former Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo for a sixth Ballon d’Or award.

“I don’t know anything about the Ballon d’Or nominations, but for all Cristiano Ronaldo has done he would deserve it,” Massimiliano Allegri.

Speaking about Argentina star Paulo Dybala, Allegri said, “Dybala is doing well. He’s in great physical and mental shape and he can keep growing.” He further said, “Dybala plays his best when he is playing deeper. He is able to influence the game and finish chances created by his teammates.”

Allegri also hints that Dybala would start from the bench on Saturday against SPAL.

Speaking about Ronaldo and Mario Mandžukić, the Juventus coach said, “Mario Mandžukić and Cristiano have a good understanding, even when they play as a three with Dybala. The team expresses themselves well, there is more attention to detail and Cristiano has brought a lot of competitiveness into training.”

“Miralem Pjanić has become a very important player. He has a good range of passing and intercepts many balls, every now and then I take him out of games to give him a breather. I’m sorry for Sami Khedira because he was getting back in good shape,” Massimiliano Allegri added.

Massimiliano Allegri also revealed that Blaise Matuidi will not play on Saturday. “Blaise probably won’t start tomorrow because he has played a lot. I gave him three days off because he needed the rest.”

So far, Juventus is the only side in Italian league that has remained unbeaten this season. Italian champions have collected 34 points from their 12 league games.
