Christian Pulisic admits it is ‘very frustrating’ waiting for opportunity at Chelsea

Premier League giants Chelsea have had a decent start under new manager Frank Lampard. They haven’t got off to a dream start nor are they trailing way behind at the moment. Given that Chelsea were not allowed to spend a penny in the summer transfer window, this is not a bad start at all and signs are that Chelsea seem to have it in them to be a very strong team in the forthcoming years. However, it is a frustrating time for Christian Pulisic at Chelsea.

Players like Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham have already been impressive in the initial part of the season and one can certainly expect more goals and action from the attacking duo in the coming matches but Christian Pulisic seems to have been overlooked amid all of this

Christian Pulisic had joined the Blue from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window for a reported transfer fee of £57million but has not featured for the Chelsea team as much as he would have liked after he arrived at Chelsea under new manager Frank Lampard.

“Yeah, of course, it is very frustrating,” Pulisic was quoted as saying by Pro Soccer Talk.

“But I will continue to work my hardest because I want to play,” he added.

With Lampard wanting to play with the likes of Willian, Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the wings ahead of Pulisic, he might even be in danger of losing his place in the team.

As far as their manager Frank Lampard is concerned, he believes that a player like the 21-year-old youngster Pulisic needs some time to adapt to a new country, league and conditions and will be given ample opportunities once he comes to his own with the right training and team atmosphere.

This means that the Chelsea fans who are desperate to see the best of the American star may have to wait a little longer.
