Although he didn’t play a single Test in Sri Lanka, where India registered a 3-0 win recently, India’s most consistent pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has set his sights on the upcoming five-match ODI series, starting with the first Test to be played at Dambulla on Sunday.

Bhuvneshwar’s inclusion in the playing eleven seems certain and for that, the 27-year-old paceman from UP is practising his heart out.

“Dead bugs with bands and dumbbell – bang for the buck – killer core exercise. #abs #outdoors #training #gym,” Bhuvneshwar wrote on Instagram, sharing a video where he was seen sweating it out.

In the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, Bhuvneshwar was a man to watch out for with his speed and accuracy. He was the most consistent pacer in blue as he managed to claim a wicket in every match.

Bhuvneshwar took seven wickets in five matches to help India reach the final, where they lost to Pakistan.

Following Champions Trophy, the right-hander appeared in great shape when he notched up two wickets against West Indies at the Port of Spain in June.

So far, Bhuvneshwar has claimed 131 international wickets for India, with 70 being taken in 67 ODI matches.
