Barcelona defender Gerard Pique on Monday accepted paying a fine of 48,000 euros ($54,576) for driving a vehicle without a valid license.

Pique, 31, was stopped by police here late August and was then charged with the traffic offence, reports Efe news.

In a quick trial held in a Barcelona court on Monday, Pique was satisfied with paying a fine and settled the case.
