Serbia’s preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup are in full swing, but it looks like an eagle-eyed Cesc Fabregas has found out their secret weapon via Nemanja Matic’s latest Instagram post.
The two spent a fruitful few seasons together at Premier League side Chelsea before Matic made the switch to Manchester United in 2017.
While the Red Devils and the Blues do not share a rivalry on the level of the Arsenal-Chelsea or the Manchester United-Liverpool ones, their clashes are pretty fiery too.
Matic crossing the divide hasn’t stopped the two professionals from being friends, however, and the Serbian posted a rather routine post on Instagram:

Fabregas, however, after having shared a dressing room with the towering Serbian for a few years, noticed something was off and had to comment:

However, the Serbian assured the Chelsea and Spain midfielder, who will not be participating at the World Cup this summer, that it was only in training and he won’t be repeating the ‘trick’ in a match.
It’s great to see the high spirits in the Serbian camp for they have been impressive in their warm-up fixtures so far.
