Pinaki Gangopadhyay’s ‘God Science and Reality And ‘Ardhosotter Dinrat’ launched

Pinaki Gangopadhyay unveils two of his books on 6 September, this year, at an event hosted by the prominent literary and publishing house, BookPeckers.

The first book, titled, ‘God Science and Reality’, dwells on the intersection of quantum physics and the ancient Indian philosophy of Vedanta, presenting it through nonfiction narrative. The second is a poetry collection titled, ‘Ardhosotter Dinrat’ or Half Truth, Full Life, in its English translation, offers a series of Bengali poems that reflect contemporary societal norms and values. The event was graced by several luminaries from various fields.

‘God Science and Reality’, was introduced by Shri Swami Vedanishthananda Maharaj and renowned scholar Shri Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri, highlighting its philosophical depth and scientific approach. The book is particularly notable for its ambitious scope, attempting to bridge the often-separate worlds of science and spirituality.

Pinaki Gangopadhyay states his thoughts in writing the book to The Statesman,“The book decodes and explores critical Sanskrit words and phrases from the Indian scriptures and connects their meanings with reality. The concept of differentiating between god and time blurs as one starts to read the book. For instance, the book presents Shiva as an embodiment of the electromagnetic force, while Brahma represents the nuclear force. While the Western concept of the universe originates from the Big Bang, our scriptures introduce an even grander parallel: the concept of a multiverse. Hence, through its dialogues, the book invites readers to embrace a fresh perspective on reality.”

On the other hand, the poetry book, ‘Ardhosotter Dinrat’, saw its unveiling by renowned poet Subodh Sarkar and celebrated elocutionist Bratati Bandopadhyay. The book uses the medium of poetry to explore deep ethical questions and the human condition, resonating with readers who are seeking reflections on personal and societal morality in the context of modern life.

During the event, Basundhara Ghoshal, the director of BookPeckers, expressed her enthusiasm about the new releases. She noted, “These books are not just texts but invitations to think and explore beyond the conventional. ‘God Science and Reality’ merges rigorous scientific methodology with spiritual insights, offering readers a framework to question and understand the nature of existence through both lenses. Meanwhile, ‘Ardhosotter Dinrat’, captures the essence of modern dilemmas and societal reflections through its poignant poetry, pushing the reader to consider the realities behind perceived truths.”

Both, ‘God Science and Reality’ and ‘Ardhosotter Dinrat’, are now available at leading bookstores and through online platforms, priced at Rs 450 and Rs 300, respectively. The availability of these works across various sales channels underscores BookPeckers’ commitment to disseminating thought-provoking and culturally significant literature.
