There are hundreds of delightful varieties of wild berries. Some are pretty but could be poisonous. However, there are edible wild berries and are rich in nutritional properties that are good for the hair, skin and overall health of the body. Blackberry: Blackberry shrubs are thorny, but the small green berries turn pink, red and finally dark when fully ripened. Ripe blackberry is small but fleshy and sweet in taste. Daily intake of it is said to help improve memory power and fight heart diseases and other health problems. It is also said to be good for the skin and eyes.

Although these berries grow wild, owing to its high nutritional and medicinal purpose, they are cultivated in large scale in many countries across the world. And they are available not only in farms and backyards but also in markets. Most edible berries are said to help fight cancers.
