A time of the year when a woman fasts for the whole day for her partner and makes sure that she looks beautiful on the auspicious occasion is around Karvachauth. Fasting takes a toll on the look and so the last-minute preparations to get the right look are important, including the glow on the face, silky hair and the right make-up.

A lot of women are going for the fusion look for which they must choose from saree gown, palazzo suit, straight cut kameez, and lehenga suit. The colours for the occasion are bright ones that bring the festival feeling to the fore. Once the outfit is ready, one must work on the make-up and hairdo that will fit the style. Go for the right mix of Indo-Western fusion and leave everyone awestruck. After preparing the skin, apply regular foundation.

Apply glam shades using fluffy brush on high points of the face to get glowing skin with iridescent shimmer. Start by applying a deep golden shade as the gold hue goes with most of the outfits. Start applying from the middle of the eye, move towards outer corner and take it till lower lash line. Then create a winged eye with eyeliner and accentuate brows with a brow liner for a natural or bold look. For the finishing touch to the make-up, apply mascara and lip gloss to compliment the look.

For the women who want to stick with the traditions and choose their outfits to be a reflection of their traditional look, the options to be chosen from are floral Anarkali suit, long choli lehenga, back cut out designer outfit, floral length suit, and net saree.

In the last-minute, take the decision to decide the way you are going to carry the dupatta with your suits or the way you want the pallu of the saree to look. For the traditional look that brings in the beauty in you, apply a shade of hydrating foundation which will blend with the skin tone to deliver hydration and sculpting.

Then colour up your eyes using primer eye shadow and go for pigmented shimmery gold eye shadow and create winged tips with the eyeliner. Then use an eyebrow pencil in dark brown shade to in the eyebrows. Complete the look with mascara. Last but not the least, apply lip gloss that goes with your dress and finish the look with a bindi.

Apart from the make-up, choose everything well in advance as one does not want to waste the already depleted energy going around the markets for the outfit or the shoes. It is important to take rest on the day to look the best. The make-up or the outfit can accentuate your look, provided you take care of yourself. Keep in mind that your husband waits for this day when you always look different to him. The right outfit coupled with right make-up will leave a long-lasting impression.
