Even the gifted can be stuck in an emotional loop unable to untangle themselves. But a woman dares to break free from the emotional trap to embark on a journey to redefine herself. It’s the story of Tara.
Penned by Vibha Gurtu, a soul coach, spiritual guide, talk therapist and image consultant, the book captures the protagonist’s journey in the quest for self realisation and eventual conquest of fear and attainment of freedom.
Titled ‘Tara: A woman’s journey from Fear, through Faith to Freedom’, the book traverse through the saga of a woman, how she negotiate her mundane problems, deals with the situations confronting her and the people who could otherwise diminish the light of even those destined to shine.
The question arises, shouldn’t one trust his intuitions, shouldn’t it be the soul’s desire to break free, or should one remain stuck in an emotional loop with his/her partner. Toxic partners can break our confidence, emotionally exhaust us, make us question our reality and trivialise our intuition.
It takes Tara years to find the will to recognise the problem and find her faith to break through the shackles to recreate her life.
Through this novel, Vibha Gurtu shows that between the omens, spirits and higher guidance, each one of us has the wisdom to bring about a change and take the reins of life back in our hands. Each soul is gifted. Choose your journey.
The author said the idea to write this novel came to her when, in a one-on-one healing session, a newly-wed client shared her story. The client had not eaten a full meal for months as her mother-in-law tortured her for not bringing enough dowry, she recalls.
“In my experience of 16 years as a Talk Therapist, I have met many people and heard hundreds of stories. Many of these life stories moved and inspired me. I wrote them as stories, blogs or just lessons for myself,” the author said.
The author said, “In this book, I have tried to thread them into a single string rather than separate narratives. I tied them together with my own spiritual journey and learning. These experiences have been intricately woven into Tara’s evolution and how she is able to redefine and recreate her path out of her misery.”
She further said that ‘Tara’ is a Sanskrit name which means a star and symbolises the light of the soul.
“Tara’s story is of an ordinary woman who we all must have heard, read and witnessed around us many times,” she said.
