The Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform has emerged as a business opportunity and food lovers are utilising it in their own unique way. Whether it’s a chef connecting to people, a food blogger sharing their experience or a home chef who has found an audience through Instagram to showcase their talent, the platform served as the great leveller.
On Monday, Instagram released a list of India’s top trending food hashtags at a curated Food at Instagram masterclass. The event was attended by celebrity chef and restaurateur Kunal Kapur, executive chef at Le 15 Patisserie Pooja Dhingra, food blogger and stylist at Passionate about Baking Deeba Rajpal, CEO and founder of Archana’s Kitchen Archana Doshi and food miniaturist Shilpa Mitha.
As a part of the session, Chef Kunal Kapur explained how cautious he was now with every post that he shares and the importance of the audience’s time. Emphasising on the new feature, IG TV, which focuses on videos, the chef shared his journey on Instagram. Pooja Dhingra, on the other side, emphasised that ‘keeping it real’ was her motto. The Patisserie chef, who even showcases her major fails, revealed that it all revolved around the audience. Shilpa Mitha focused on the unique ideas that would make you stand out.
