Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday asserted that the BJP’s double-engine government is committed to the welfare of armed forces personnel.
Speaking during a felicitation ceremony for ex-servicemen organised in Ghazipur in the presence of JP Nadda, Yogi said that the slogan of the Bharatiya Janata Party is ‘Nation First’. Similarly, every soldier’s motto is ‘Country First’.
The chief minister said that like BJP is the biggest political party in the world, Ghazipur is the district that sends a maximum number of jawans to the Army, Paramilitary, and Police forces.
Congratulating the ex-servicemen on the occasion, he said that the demand of ex-servicemen since Independence was One Rank One Pension, the decision to implement it was taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014. Similarly, the state government is also making many efforts to connect ex-servicemen with government services.
He went on to say, “Ghazipur is fortunate that Paramveer Chakra winner Veer Abdul Hameed was the son of this soil and that Gahmar is also in the district, a village known in India for sending the largest number of youths to the armed forces.”
Furthermore, he assured the armed forces personnel that the government of double engine is working to promote their interests and is always standing with them at every level.
BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Minister Annapurna Devi, BJP State President Bhupendra Chowdhary, Regional President Mahesh Srivastava, Kashi region in-charge Subrat Pathak, MLC Vishal Singh Chanchal, Colonel Ranjit Upadhyay, Subedar Major Markandeya Singh were present on the occasion.
