Yogi Govt builds tent city to boost Purvanchal tourism

The Yogi Government is building a beautiful tent city on the banks of the river Ganges in Kashi to boost tourism. The tent city that resembles the sand dunes in Jaisalmer and Rann of Kutch in Gujarat will showcase products from the East.

Abhishek Goyal, vice-chairman of the Varanasi Development Authority, informed on Tuesday that two companies are engaged in setting up the tent city. They are now giving final touches to the project. The city will open on January 13.

Goyal said that the tent city would add a new chapter to the tourism industry of the eastern UP and that it will bring financial benefits to the local people. The tent city on the banks of the river Ganges will be a new chapter in the confluence of religion, spirituality and culture.

Himanshu Agarwal, partner of Lallu G & Sons, which is building the cluster of tent cities, announced that all the tents with luxury hotel facilities will be decorated with handicrafts from around Kashi. A replica of the world famous Banarasi saree will be used in the decoration.

The carpet city of Bhadohi will be laid in a beautiful carpet tent. Agarwal informed that specialty items of Purvanchal will also add to the beauty of the tent city, which will provide a market for these products and employment to the people of Purvanchal.
