Former BJP national president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday promised to make a “corruption free Bengal.”
Shah, who inaugurated the Ram temple-themed Durga Pandal at Santosh Mitra Square in north Kolkata, said that the change will come in Bengal and all efforts will be made to bring change here.
“I want to congratulate the people of North Kolkata that they have inaugurated the Ram temple before the unveiling of actual construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya,” he said.
Shah said: “I have come to Bengal today only to seek the blessings of Mother Durga. These nine days are a significant celebration for West Bengal, even bigger than Diwali.”
“Today, Amit Shah does not wish to make any political comments during the inauguration of Durga Puja. I will come to West Bengal, and I will talk about politics too,” he said.
