Booking train tickets will now be easier. Instead of giving details while booking the ticket, you just need to say ‘Actually’.

IRCTC is working on this Artificial Intelligence-based feature for which testing is being done in AskDisha with some necessary changes.

Users are no longer required to log in with their IRCTC User ID and Password to use this facility. The AI-powered e-ticketing feature is also expected to augment the backend infrastructure of IRCTC.

IRCTC’s upcoming voice-based e-ticket booking facility will make the online reservation ticket booking process easier and faster

To book a train ticket, one has to log in to the IRCTC website and fill out the complete form, in which written information about the passenger’s name and travel details has to be given. During this time it takes a lot of time to book tickets. Many times it happens that despite having a seat, a waiting ticket is given. But now this hassle of filling out the form can be relieved because IRCTC is now bringing such an advanced voice feature, in which the ticket will be booked by speaking.

According to the report, the first phase of the trial has been successful. IRCTC is expected to take some more steps soon before rolling out this feature. It is being said that IRCTC may introduce an AI-powered voice-based ticket booking facility on the ‘AskDisha’ online ticket booking platform within the next 3 months.
