An expedition team of Uttarakhand Police scaled the Mount Everest on Sunday. Creating history, five members of the state police stood on the top of the world’s highest peak.
The second team of the police, consisting of four members, will make an attempt to scale the Everest later on Sunday or on Monday. Navneet Bhuller, Sanjay Upreti, Ravi and Virendra are presently at summit camp.
Uttarakhand Police team had left for Everest expedition on 29 March. Manoj Joshi, Bijender Kudiyal, Suryakant Uniyal, Parveen Chauhan and Yogesh Rawat scaled Mount Everest to bring laurels for the state police.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has congratulated the state police expedition team for successfully scaling Mount Everest.
Chief Minister Rawat said, “It is a matter of pride that Uttarakhand police expedition becomes the first police force in the country to scale Mount Everest.”
