Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed profound grief on the death of former Chief Minister Narayan Dutt Tiwari. He prayed to the almighty for the peace of the departed soul and grant of patience to the bereaved family.

In his condolence message, Rawat said, “I express my profound grief at the demise of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Narayan Dutt Tewari. I pray to the almighty for the peace of the departed soul and grant of patience to the bereaved family to bear the loss. The departure of Tewari ji is a personal loss, despite being in the opposition; he always maintained a relationship of love above party politics with me.”

“The demise of Tewari has left a void in the Indian politics which is difficult to fill. Tewariji served on responsible positions of Union Finance Minister, Industry Minister and Foreign Minister. Uttarakhand will never forget the contribution of Tewari ji. He played an important role in the economic and industrial progress of the newly formed state in its attempt to stand on its own feet.”
