Uttar Pradesh government has stepped up its effort to implement investment proposals of Global Investors’ Summit -2023. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked officials to communicate with each investor to ensure every investment proposal can be implemented.

“Contact every investor that participated in the GIS, know their needs and expectations and provide them benefits of the new policies and rules immediately. It should be ensured that no file relating to investors lies pending,” Chief Minister Yogi said on Wednesday while reviewing the development projects with various ministers, and departmental Additional Chief Secretaries.

He said for ease of investors, deployment of Udyami Mitra (entrepreneur friends) should be made immediately under the Chief Minister’s Udyami Mitra Scheme. At least one entrepreneur friend should be deployed at national level, authority level and in every district.

“There should be transparency in selection and only deserving youth should be selected,” he said. He also asked officials to train youths under the Chief Minister’s Internship Programme so that industries could get trained hands when they set up their units.

The CM also stressed on providing state-of-the-art urban facilities in Lucknow as Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region would be set up on the lines of National Capital Region (NCR) by connecting Lucknow and adjoining districts.

“People from different cities want to come here and make their permanent residence. Population pressure is also increasing in the surrounding districts while complaints of unplanned development are also being received,” he said.

“In this situation, the formation of SCR will be useful from the point of view of coordinated development. Prepare a detailed action plan for the state capital region and present it in the next two weeks,” he said.
