Uttar Pradesh Congress has announced to hold a march to Raj Bhawan in the state capital on March 13 to protest against the failure of the Yogi Adityanath government and rising problems of the people.

State Congress president and former MP Brijlal Khabri told reporters here on Saturday said that injustice and atrocities has increased in the state and the present government has turned a deaf ear to the plights of the people as it is more concerned about protecting its industrialist friends than punishing the guilty.

“The government is non-existent in UP. The vice-chancellors of different universities who have indulged in corruption are given protection by their political masters. To expose this on-going corrupt practice the Congress will take out a march to Raj Bhawan on March 13,” Khabri said.

He said on that the day the Congress lays a siege on the Raj Bhawan and even the barricades of police will not be able to stop them. “This will be a non-violent agitation and the Congress will stage a protest to expose the government,” he said.

Khabari said that even the condition of farmers is very pathetic. They are not getting the remunerative price for their crop, but the BJP government is doing nothing to help them out. The Modi Government at the Center is working towards benefiting some of its capitalist friends, while the poor are suffering.

“The people of the country understand everything and are ready to give a befitting reply to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the coming Lok Sabha elections,” he said.

Khabri said that the Congress has always struggled on issues of public interest and will continue to do so in the future. A conspiracy is being made to weaken the country’s democracy, but the Congress party will not allow this to happen.
