After Supreme Court interfered in the Unnao rape and accident case, MLA Kuldeep Sengar seems to be in more trouble as the Unnao district administration has cancelled three arms licences which belonged to him.
The rape and murder accuse MLA had a gun, a rifle and a revolver registered in his name. Unnao DM Devendra Kumar Pandey ordered the cancellation of Sengar’s arms license after the rape survivor’s family urged this in a plea.
Kuldeep Sengar has been associated with the BJP until recently, when the ruling party after succumbing to immense public pressure, expelled him from party’s primary membership.
The move came on a day when the Supreme Court took a serious note of the Unnao rape case and the accident of the rape survivor directing the Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to complete investigation into the case within seven days.
The court also transferred all the five cases linked to the Unnao rape and accident case from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi.
The case is currently being heard by the Special CBI court, which has also granted three-day remand custody of accused truck driver and cleaner involved in the rape survivor’s accident case.
Kuldeep Sengar is lodged in Sitapur district jail since April 13, 2018.
Family members of the Unnao rape victim, in a letter to the CJI on July 12 had stated that the kin of accused threatened them to settle case otherwise they would be implicated in false cases.
And while the rape survivor, along with her aunt and lawyer was going to meet her uncle who is lodged in Rae Bareli jail, an unknown truck rammed their car, killing two of her aunts and critically injuring the rape survivor and her lawyer, who are fighting for their life in KGMC hospital, Lucknow.
The CBI has registered a case against MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and nine other accused under criminal conspiracy, murder, attempt to murder and criminal intimidation.
