Rahul reiterates his commitment to legal guarantee to MSP, caste census


Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on the 35th day reached Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

He said that at present there is an atmosphere of hatred and fear in the country but stressed the need a power of working together.

Gandhi , first prayed at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and later addressed a public meeting at the Godhalia crossing. This was the fourth time, that Rahul Gandhi visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Rahul Gandhi, while addressing the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, said that during this yatra he had not seen any hatred.

“Even people from BJP and RSS came and joined us during the yatra. As soon as they came to us, they talked to us nicely. This country becomes strong only then, when we work together. Bringing the country together is true devotion towards the country,” he told the crowd, who were standing there to hear him since early morning.

He said that today we have reached among the people of Varanasi with the ‘Maha Yatra of Justice’. ” All of you join us, raise your voice against the injustice spread in the country and the state. True devotion towards the country lies in bringing the country together,” Gandhi said.

Rahul Gandhi said that his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ had covered over 4,000 kilometers and he had met farmers, labourers, small traders and women during the yatra and they told me about their pain.

During his visit to Varanasi, Rahul Gandhi stopped in front of ‘Sarva Seva Sangh’ of Varanasi and talked to the people. During this, he said that this ‘Sarva Seva Sangh’, formed to spread Bapu’s ideas to the common people, but the building was bulldozed by the BJP government, which had become blind due to repression and dictatorship.

During ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ , a young man told the story of his unemployment to Rahul Gandhi. On this Rahul Gandhi said that how a youth and his family are wandering here and there with empty hands and broken dreams even after spending lakhs of rupees on education. This is injustice to the youth and we are raising our voice against it.

Apna Dal (K) leader and MLA Pallavi Patel also joined the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Pallavi Patel defeated UP Deputy CM Keshav P Maurya in the 2022 assembly elections.

Later the yatra after covering around 8 kilometers by foot left for Bhadoi in a convey.
