The disgruntled older son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday announce that he will launch his own political outfit, Lalu Rabri Morcha, following days of a feud with the family. The party has been so named after his parents, Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi.

Things have not been going well in the RJD camp ever since Tej Pratap’s brother, Tejashwi Yadav, decided to field Chandrika Rai from Seoran. Rai is Tej Pratap’s father-in-law, with whom his relations became soured ever since he filed for divorce from his wife – Rai’s daughter Aishwarya.

Tej Pratap, a former Health Minister of the state, was reportedly keen on contesting from Saran.

Another thorn in the relation between the brothers was Tej Pratap’s demand of fielding two of his protégés from seats of their choice.

“We demand two Lok Sabha seats of Sheohar and Jehanabad,” he reiterated the demand today.

On Thursday, Tej Pratap resigned as the patron of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) student wing and made a veiled attack on his critics.

“I am stepping down from the post of RJD’s student wing president,” read the tweet which was posted in Hindi.

“Naadaan hain vo log jo mujhe naadaan samjhte hain. Kaun kitna pani main hai, sabki hai khabar mujhe (Ignorant are those who think that I am naive. I know what everyone is up to),” he said in his cryptic tweet.

Speculations are that Tej Pratap may contest against his father-in-law from Saran.

Tejashwi Yadav, the former deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, is the younger brother of Tej Pratap and the Leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly. He is also the in-charge of the affairs of RJD.
