Steps on to probe allegations against EP Jayarajan’s resort

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) in Kerala, has sought the State Government’s permission to probe into the allegations against LDF convener EP Jayarajan’s resort in Kannur.
The VACB sought the permission of the government after it (VACB) received a complaint from the Youth Congress demanding probe into the  graft charges levelled against LDF Convener EP Jayarajan. The department has sent the file seeking the Government permission for the Vigilance probe to the home department.
Youth Congress State General Secretary, Jobin Jacob, in his complaint, alleged that EP Jayarajan, used undue influence as the former industry minister for illegal activities for the construction of the Ayurveda resort in Kannur.
The complaint pointed out that the Vaidekam Resort in the Anthoor Municipality area of Kannur has been operating without any permissions. It is further alleged that the resort has not received environmental clearance for the construction and operation.
The Youth Congress also demanded that money laundering and illegal activities in connection with the construction of the resort be investigated. The CPI-M state committee member P Jayarajan has alleged that Kerala  LDF convener EP Jayarajan illegally acquired property in the name of Ayurvedic resort in Kannur.
He(P Jayarajan) alleged there has been massive financial irregularities in the construction of the resort and Ayurvedic village which was built by illegally acquiring property worth Rs 30 crore.
