A startup company has developed ‘Air Bin’ to clean air within an area of 50 metres. Its cost is less than one per cent of the cost incurred in setting up a smog tower.

The new device has been developed by Jaipur-based startup Zylm Energy Private Limited. In collaboration with the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), it has installed an ‘Air Bin’ at Ajanta Chowk, Bhiwadi, as a pilot project.

This device – which has been installed and made functional with the support of RSPCB, RIICO and Bhiwadi Merchant Association, has a six-staged purification process which runs on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IOT).

Paras Bachhawat, Director, Zylm Energy Private Limited, said: “One of such smog towers inaugurated in August 2021 by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at a whopping cost of Rs 22.9 crore and Rs 2.6 crore was spent on its maintenance and operation by the environment department.”
