Special pujas, prayers held in various temples in Kerala


Special pujas and prayers were held in various temples in Kerala to mark the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya under the aegis of the BJP and the Hindu organizations.

Governor Arif Mohammad Khan attended the celebrations at Vashuthakkad Ramadevi temple in Thiruvananthapuram. Former Union Minister and BJP Kerala Prabhahari Prakash Javadekar witnessed the consecration ceremony through the big TV screen arranged at Sultan Batheri Ganapati temple. BDJS leader Tushar Vellappally was also present at the temple.

BJP state president K Surendran attended the function at Kottayam Ramapuram temple. In all important temples in Kochi, prayers and recitation of Ramayana were held in connection with Prana Pratishtha in Ayodhya. Special ceremonies were also held at the Tirumala Devaswom Temple, Kochi. Facilities were provided everywhere to watch the Prana Pratishtha live in Ayodhya.

The celebrations were held in 371 temples and 17 ashrams in Pathanamthitta district. Celebrations were held in Sree Rama temple in Thalassery, Sree Rama temple in Triprayar and Tali Siva temple in Kozhikode. Celebrations were also held in various temples across the state.

The Nair Service Society (NSS), the powerful organisation of the Hindu Nair community, celebrated the Ayodhya Prana Pratishta day with solemn prayers and rituals. The ceremony included the auspicious lighting of a lamp in front of Lord Rama’s photo, accompanied by the chanting of Mantras.

NSS General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair lit the Bhadradeepam during the celebration held at the NSS headquarters in Perunna. The highlights of the ceremony were also shared by NSS through various social media platforms.
