On the eve of the Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ram Lalla in the new and grand Ram temple, rituals for the sixth day commenced on Sunday morning.
The consecration rituals started on January 16 and on January 19 , the new idol was installed in the Ram temple after a symbolic procession done on January 18.
A day before the Pran Pratistha, daily puja, Havan, Parayan, morning Madhvadhivas and bathing of the idol with various waters from 114 ‘kalash’ (urns) was done.
Besides, Mahapuja, Prasad Parikrama of the Utsav idol, Shayyadhivas Tatvanyas, Mahanyasadi, Shantik-Poshtik, Aghor-Vyahratihom rituals will be done during the day.
Ayodhya is being decorated with 2500 quintals of flowers for the inauguration of the grand temple and the consecration of the new idol of Ramlala. For the purpose, a consignment of beautiful flowers from abroad has been brought from Delhi and Kolkata, and also from Thailand and Argentina.
‘Rampath’, from the airport to Ram temple via NH-27, and ‘Dharampath’, are decorated with colorful flowers. The newly constructed building and entrance gate of Ram temple is decked up for the occasion. Rose petals will be showered from a helicopter on Ram temple.
For prasad to be given to guests coming for Pran Pratistha, three tonnes of laddus from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Trust were brought in by plane on Saturday. They were presented to Ayodhya Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi, who dedicated this gift — in 343 boxes — to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. It was transported in 16 small vehicles from the airport.
