Hundreds of leaders and workers from the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha hit the streets in Agra on Monday in protest against the controversial statement by SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya, on the Ramcharitramanas.
The organization’s Agra district in-charge Saurabh Sharma announced a reward of Rs 51,000 for anybody who can cut the SP leader’s tongue.
The protestors raised slogans against Maurya keeping the SP leader’s photo on the bier which they later threw to the river Yamuna.
Maurya triggered the controversy when he demanded ban on the Ramcharitramanas saying that the Hindu scripture insults the backwards and Dalits.
