The last rites of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Member of Parliament Ramchandra Paswan will be held on the banks of the Ganga in Patna Monday afternoon.
Ramchandra Paswan, who was the brother of LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan, had passed away aged 57 in Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital in New Delhi yesterday due to cardiac arrest.
Paswan will be given a funeral with full state honours, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced. Mortal remains of Paswan will be brought from Delhi to Patna today and will be kept in the party office before the funeral.
Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 2 pm after paying tributes to Paswan and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
On Thursday night, Paswan suffered a heart attack after which he was admitted in the RML hospital and kept on ventilator.
According to reports, Paswan’s condition worsened while undergoing angioplasty, after which he was immediately kept on ventilator. He took his last breath in the hospital Sunday afternoon.
Paswan represented the Samastipur constituency of Bihar.
