RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also accompanied PM Modi during the historic ceremony in the sanctum santorum of the Ram temple.

During the ‘pran-pratishtha’ ceremony, the idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated with full vedic rituals and it’s eyes were unveiled for the first time.

Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers showered flower petals over Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple premises in Ayodhya as the idol of Ram Lalla was unveiled in the presence of PM Modi.

The grand ceremony was held amid chants of “Jai Shri Ram” by devotees and special guests.

The historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony was attended by representatives of all major spiritual and religious sects of the country.

People from all walks of life including representatives of various tribal communities also took part in the ceremony.

Over 8,000 guests have been invited for the ceremony at the grand temple in Ayodhya, believed to be the birthplace of Hinduism’s one of the most revered deities, Lord Ram.

However, the Shankaracharyas, considered to be the biggest authority in Hindu religion, skipped the event after terming it “anti-dharmashastra”.
