Ram Temple closed for 3 days for devotees in Ayodhya

The Ram Lalla temple has been closed for three days from Saturday.

Devotees coming to Ayodhya will not have darshan of Ramlala for three days from Saturday. Darshan will be closed in the temporary Ram temple on January 20 and 21, while on January 22, the immovable idol of Ramlala will be consecrated in the new temple.

On this day only the guests present at the Pran Pratistha ceremony will get darshan. Common devotees will be able to have darshan of Ramlala in the new temple only from January 23.

Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, said that the eyes of the idol of Lord Ram will not open before the Pran Pratistha is completed, they have been covered with a cloth. Eyes cannot be shown before pran Pratistha, he said.

He said the photo in which the eyes of Lord Rama are open in the idol is not the real idol. ” There should be an investigation as to how the pictures of the idol are going viral,” he demanded.

Meanwhile, on the fifth daily of ritual on Saturday coinciding with the consecration ceremony on January 22, the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple was sanctified with water from 81 kalashes ‘which have been collected from different rivers’.

As part of the Pran Pratishtha ritual, the immovable idol of Ram Lalla was bathed with water containing in 81 urns. At the same time, the movable idol of Ramlala in the temporary temple also entered the newly constructed sanctum sanctorum this afternoon.

Gopal Rao, in-charge of the construction of Ram temple, said that the movable idol of Ram Lalla and other idols present in the temporary temple entered into the sanctum sanctorum of the newly constructed temple.

As per the Pran Pratistha rituals, Ramlala was consecrated with sugar and fruits on Saturday. For this, there was yagya, havan, recitation of Vedas and other rituals.

Meanwhile, in view of the consecration cermony in Ram temple, traffic diversion was implemented from midnight of Friday. Due to diversion, vehicles coming from Lucknow, Gonda, Basti, Ambedkarnagar, Sultanpur, Amethi towards Ayodhya were sent to their destination through different routes.

Besides there will be no entry of outsiders in Ayodhya for three days. Those who are local people there have been given identity cards while peopjd with invitation cards or passes would be allowed entry.

After centuries of waiting, the time has come when crores of Ram devotees spread across the world will be able to have darshan of their Lord in the grand Ram temple. After the consecration on January 22, the temple will be opened to the general public and everyone will be able to have darshan.

People across the country have been urged to light Ram Jyoti on Monday. The temple has been decorated in a very grand manner from inside for the Pran Pratishtha program.

The temple is decorated with flowers from inside. At the same time, different types of lighting systems are making the look of temple grand and beautiful.

On the other hand , Vishwa Hinduy Parishad President Alok Kumar handed over the gifts received from Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Afghanistan to Shri Ram Temple’s ‘Yajman’ Anil Mishra on Saturday. During this, he said, “Muslim brothers and sisters from Kashmir came to meet me and expressed happiness over the construction of Ram temple and said that even though we believe in different religions, our ancestors are the same. They bought 2 kg of organically produced pure saffron.Silk manufacturers from Tamil Nadu have sent silk sheets depicting Shri Ram temple…Water of Kubha (Kabul) river from Afghanistan has been sent for ‘Abhishek’ of Shri Ram.”
