Rajnath, Nadda slam Rahul for China remarks

Rahul Gandhi

Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, BJP President J P Nadda, and other senior BJP leaders on Saturday hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on the threat by China.

Speaking at the FICCI Annual Convention and AGM in the National Capital, Singh said Rahul Gandhi’s remarks were in bad taste while emphasising that the government has never questioned the intention of Opposition leaders.
“We have never questioned the intention of leaders in the opposition, we have only debated on the basis of policies. Politics is done by speaking the truth,” he said.

“The word ‘Rajneeti’ is derived from Raj and Neeti. They mean to carry out. The aim of politics is to create a political system for the welfare of society. Its purpose is not to raise suspicion on intentions whether it’s Galwan or Tawang, our defence forces have done miraculous jobs,” Rajnath added.

Rahul Gandhi on Friday stated; ”The government does not want to hear this but their (China’s) preparation is on. The preparation is for war. It is not for the incursion, but for war.”

BJP President J P Nadda also slammed Rahul, saying “He (Rahul) has sought to demoralise the Indian Army. No matter how much it is condemned, it is less. The Indian Army is a symbol of bravery and valour. We know that the Communist Party of China had signed MoU with the Congress party.”

He said; “When the Indian army was at Doklam, Rahul Gandhi quietly met the Chinese officials in the Chinese Embassy. We also know that he raised questions on surgical strikes and Pulwama, this tells us that he doesn’t speak the language of India. He speaks the same language that Pakistan speaks. I condemn such statements, this shows the mentality of Rahul Gandhi towards the country,” the BJP chief said. He said Rahul’s statement reflected his mental bankruptcy.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, said Gandhi’s statement was outrageous & inspired anti-national elements. ”Whenever the country faces a difficult situation, Rahul tries to put the country in the dock. We condemn this. During the Doklam incident, instead of respecting our soldiers, his character was evident.”

He said the Congress and Rahul should apologise to the soldiers of the country and the people and refrain from putting the country in trouble again and again.
