Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commenced his two-day visit to the northeastern states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on October 23. During this tour, he is scheduled to meet with security forces stationed in the Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh.

In a statement posted on X, Singh said, “Today, on the 23rd of October, I will be arriving in Tezpur for a two-day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. During my stay, I will engage with the Armed Forces personnel deployed in the region and make visits to the forward areas.”

He anticipated that he would be celebrating Dussehra with the soldiers in Tawang.

It is worth noting here that in September, Rajnath Singh virtually inaugurated the Nechiphu Tunnel on the Balipara-Chariduar-Tawang motorway in Arunachal Pradesh.

Additionally, he dedicated a total of 90 infrastructure projects along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) to the nation. These projects, with a combined cost of Rs 2941 crore, were constructed by the Border Road Organisation (BRO)
