Rahul urged to reschedule visit to Sri Sri Batadrava Than for Ayodhya event

The Sri Sri Batadrava Than Parichalana Samiti has sent a letter to Batadrava Than MLA, Sibamoni Bora, requesting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to adjust his planned visit to Sri Sri Batadrava Than, the birthplace of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva.

During an emergency meeting on January 21, 2024, the committee warmly welcomed Rahul Gandhi but highlighted logistical challenges arising from the simultaneous inauguration of a Ram temple in Ayodhya on the same day. The letter noted the potential surge in attendees at both locations and appealed for cooperation to reschedule Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Sri Sri Batadrava Than after 3 pm.

Initially slated for January 22, 2024, between 8 am and 9 am, the timing of the visit was modified to ensure a smooth flow of activities and accommodate the dynamic environment surrounding the Thana premises amid significant events.

Jogendra Narayan Dev Mahanta, President of the Sri Sri Batadrava Than Parichalana, emphasised the decision’s importance considering the prevailing circumstances. The adjusted schedule has been communicated to MLA Sibamoni Bora, reflecting a collaborative approach to managing the events scheduled for January 22, 2024.
