Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday said he had met visiting Australian Leader of Opposition Penny Wong.
Australian Ambassador to India Harinder Sindhu was also present at the meeting.
“Met Senator Penny Wong, the Australian Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and the Australian High Commissioner, Harinder Sidhu for a wide-ranging exchange of views. Sen. Wong has the distinction of being the first person of Asian origin in the Australian cabinet,” Gandhi said in a tweet attaching a picture of him with them.
Last week, the Congress leader also met visiting US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Alice Wells and US Ambassador Kenneth Juster here.
