Rahul Gandhi cautions against China’s nefarious designs

In view of the recent clash of soldiers of India and China, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday warned that Beijing was indulging in offensive preparation and alleged that the Government of India was least bothered.

“China’s offensive preparation along Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh is going on but India does not want to listen to and care for it. Look at their pattern of weapons,” Gandhi told a press conference here after completing 100 days of his Bharat Jodo Yara.

“China’s threat is clear. I have been speaking on this for the last two to three years but the Indian government is cleverly hiding the facts and ignoring it. China is not just doing incursions on the border but they are preparing for an offensive,” Gandhi further said.

Taking a jibe at the Union Government, he said: “Indian government always tries to hide the facts and ignore the major border issue. However, China’s threat cannot be ignored nor concealed anyway. What to do? India does not want to listen to anyone on it.”

“I tell you why the Indian government does not reveal the facts and ignore it, because the Central government works on event-based events. It does not work or prepare strategically on international relations and has no geostrategy,” he alleged.

Gandhi, also blaming the media for not raising questions on China, said: “This I am repeatedly saying that India should be alert and careful. The country understands it. They (the government) do not. Only ‘bayanbaji hoti rahati hai Defence Minister ki taraf se” (Defence Minister is making only statements).”
