Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, campaigning here along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Monday said that in Rae Bareli he has two mothers– first Indira Gandhi and second Sonia Gandhi.
” The main reason that I am contesting from Rae Bareli is due to my 2 mothers. Sonia Gandhi gave me birth and Indira Gandhi protected me and taught me. Rae Bareli is the Karambhoomi of both my mothers,” Rahul Gandhi said while addressing a rally in Maharajganj area of the constituency.
Rahul said,” our family’s relationship with Rae Bareli is 100 years old. This is the first election in history in which Congress is fighting to protect the Constitution. BJP and RSS will tear the book of the Constitution and all the avenues for the poor will be closed”.
Attacking the Prime Minister and BJP, he said that they are going to form the government of Adani and Ambani. The Constitution is being torn to pieces just for these two people.
Further targeting the PM , Rahul Gandhi alleged that,” Narendra Modi gave Rs 16 lakh crore to 22 billionaires in ten years. This money is equal to the income of 70 crore people. This fight is to protect the poor. If the government is formed, we will send Rs 8500 per month to the account of every woman. The money will be deposited into your account on the first day of every month.”
Congress leader said that the Prime Minister has made the youth unemployed. If India coalition government is formed, every youth will get apprenticeship. In this way the first job is confirmed. Be it public sector or government department, the practice of contract job will stop as soon as the government is formed.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra appealed to the people to support her brother in Rae Bareli. She also described how Rahul Gandhi went throughout the country on his Nyay Yatra and got to know the problems of the people.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were seen together in the public meeting. Seeing both of them together on the stage, the enthusiasm of the crowd was overwhelming.
