President on 2-day visit to Madhya Pradesh

President Ramnath Kovind arrived here on Saturday morning on a two-day visit to Madhya Pradesh. After being welcomed by MP Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and others, the President went straight to Sagar.

He was the Chief Guest at the convocation ceremony of Dr Hari Singh Gaur University at Sagar. The President advised students to become not just literate and educated but also cultured and develop good traits. He gave away degrees to 353 students and medals of excellence to 11.

In the afternoon, the President attended the Sadguru Kabir Mahotsav at the Swarnjayanti auditorium at Sagar. After staying overnight at the Bhopal Raj Bhavan, the President will visit Guna tomorrow where he will lay the foundation stone of the smart city project.

Kovind will also visit his brother Ramswaroop Bharti in Guna and spend some time there. He will be accompanied by his family members.

On Saturday, the President’s family members went from Bhopal to visit the historical sites of Sanchi and Bhim Bethika.

Kovind will return to Bhopal from Guna on Sunday evening and depart from here to Delhi.
