PM Narendra Modi to kickstart BJP’s mega campaign in poll-bound Karnataka today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to kickstart BJP campaign for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections with three mega rallies on Tuesday.

According to media reports, the Prime Minister is slated to participate in 15 rallies over a period of five days in the poll-bound Karnataka.

On Tuesday, PM Modi will first reach Santhemarahalli town of Chamarajanagar district to address a rally at 11 am, after which he will make his way to Udupi in coastal Karnataka. In Udupi, PM Modi will visit Shri Krishna Mutt and address a massive public rally at 3 pm.

PM Modi is scheduled to address his third rally in Chikkodi town in North Karnataka’s Belagavi district in the evening.

Taking to Twitter, the PM said he was looking forward to the Karnataka trip.

“Looking forward to being in Karnataka on Tuesday. I will be addressing three rallies across the state,” he tweeted.


The south state will go on polling on May 12, while the results will be declared on May 15.

Other leaders who will campaign for BJP in Karnataka are BJP chief Amit Shah, Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, Sushma Swaraj, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal and Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Among chief ministers, BJP CMs Yogi Adityanath (UP), Devendra Fadnavis (Maharashtra) and Biplab Kumar Deb (Tripura) would join the senior leaders to campaign for the party ahead of the state elections.
