PM Modi’s wife Jashodaben attends Iftar in Ahmedabad

Jashodaben, the estranged wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi — attended an Iftar party in Ahmedabad.

The Iftar party was organised on Relief Road area of the Ahmedabad on Wednesday, during which Jashodaben helped people break their day-long fast.

An Iftar is organised post-sunset everyday in the holy month of Ramzan and marks the customary breaking of the day-long fast.

Jashodaben, who is a retired teacher, lives in Brahmanwada village, about 35 km from PM Modi’s hometown, Vadnagar.

On the last day of the Ramzan, Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. This year, the festival will be celebrated across the country on June 15. On the day of Eid, Muslims throng mosques where they offer prayers and greet each other and pray for the prosperity.

In February 2018, Jashodaben, was injured and her relative was killed when their car rammed into a truck in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh.

The accident had taken place in Parsoli police station area, when Jashodaben and others were travelling to Chittorgarh after attending a function in Kota.
