Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to give his an interview on Friday morning, first time after the declaration of 2019 Lok Sabha elections. News agency ANI had been the last media organisation to get a PM Modi interview, which was aired in the beginning of this year.

Late Thursday evening, the Twitter handle of Republic Bharat announced that the “biggest election interview” would be broadcast on the channel at 8 am on Friday.

PM Narendra Modi, who has not addressed any press conference since taking charge in May 2014, has given interviews to Times Now, Zee News, Dainik Jagran, Hindustan Times and News18, apart from ANI, till now.

In his last interview, to ANI editor Smita Prakash in January this year, Modi had said the upcoming Lok Sabha elections were going to be “janta versus gathbandhan”. He had also talked about demonetisation, Ayodhya dispute, GST, Doklam standoff, triple talaq, and India-Pakistan relations.

Modi also gave an interview to YourStory, a platform for stories related to startups and entrepreneurs, in January this year.
