Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency on November 12 to participate in the ‘Dev Deepawali’ celebrations. He will also participate in the 550th Prakashotsav of Guru Nanak Dev ji at the famous Guru Bagh Gurudwara in the city.
Guru Bagh Gurudwara is a famous holy shrine for the Sikhs where it is believed that Guru Nanak Dev visited the Gurudwara and his footprints are also seen there. Prakashotsav is being celebrated on a large scale and Sikhs from all parts are expected to attend the event.
On October 24, PM interacted with Varanasi party workers during which the workers had invited him for the Dev Deepawali event. He had also spoke about the Guru Bagh Gurudwara in his recent ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme.
Sardar Sukhwinder Singh, the head of the Gurudwara has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister modi and said that it would be an honour to welcome him on the pious occasion.
Guru Nanak Prakashotsav commends the introduction of the principal Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak. This event is a standout among the most consecrated celebrations in Sikhs.
