PM Modi, Arun Jaitley wish Shivraj Singh Chouhan on his 59th birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday wished Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on his 59th birthday.

The Prime Minister in a tweet extended birthday greetings to Chouhan, while saying “birthday greetings to Madhya Pradesh CM ChouhanShivraj Ji”, he added that “his humility has endeared him to all sections of society and his hardwork has transformed MP. I pray for Shivraj ji’s long and healthy life”.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also extended birthday greeting to Madhya Pradesh CM on Twitter.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the 18th and current Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, a central Indian state.

He replaced Babulal Gaur as Chief Minister on 29 November 2005. As a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he has served as its general secretary and as president of its Madhya Pradesh state unit.

Chouhan joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1972, as a 13-year-old. He has been a five-time Member of Parliament, representing Vidisha in the Lok Sabha since 1991.

Currently, he represents Budhni constituency, a tehsil place in Sehore district, in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.
