PM inaugurates Sindri Fertiliser Plant in Jharkhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Sindri Fertilizer Plant in Jharkhand .

At a public rally in Dhanbad’s Sindri, he said he had fulfilled his promise to revive the plant which he made when he visited here in 2018.

He said, “The Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant has been inaugurated. I made a resolution to revive this plant. This was Modi’s guarantee. In 2018, I came here to lay the foundation stone of this plant.”

He said this will provide thousands of opportunities for employment, adding that this was a huge step toward ‘Atma Nirbharta’.

”Every year, around 360 lakh metric tonnes of urea is required in India. In 2014, 225 lakh mt of urea was produced. To fill this gap, India had to import urea… In the last 10 years, urea production has become 310 MT,” he said.

Modi is on a visit to Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar on 1st-2nd March.

He will lay the foundation stone, dedicate to the Nation a multitude of rail infrastructure projects and flag off three train services in Jharkhand.

The PM will participate in a public programme, where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth Rs 35,700 crore in Jharkhand.

He will also participate in a public programme where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 7,200 crore in Arambagh, Hooghly, West Bengal.

He left BJP HQ early today at around 3:30 am after the Central Election Committee Meeting and left his residence before 8:00 am for Jharkhand.
